Dr. Namdev Patil is an Associate Professor specializing in Product Design with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. With over 8 years of experience, he has authored 15 SCOPUS/SCI/ESCI/WOS indexed publications, focusing on mechanical properties of composites, friction stir welding, and energy efficiency. Some of his notable research includes studies on "Enhancing Wear Resistance of AA7075/SiC/Fly Ash Composites Through Friction Stir Processing" and "A solution to interfacial friction in bulk deformation processes."

He has presented papers at prestigious international conferences, including the International Conference on Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Plant Engineering (ICMMPE) and the International Conference on Renewable Energy and E-mobility.

Dr. Patil has received several accolades, such as the Graduate Assistant Fellowship from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and a Silver Medal in the Thesis and Poster presentation competition at RIPC MNNF 2021. He is a member of the International Scientific Advisory Committee for the 3rd International Conference on Sustainability Systems Development (ICSSD-2025). Additionally, Dr. Patil is an active reviewer for journals like Elsevier's Journal of Materials Research & Technology and MDPI's Lubricants Journal. His citation metrics include over 156 Google Scholar citations and an h-index of 7.
