Dr. Meghashyam B. Gurjar is a professor with extensive experience in textile design and education. He holds a Govt. Diploma in Textile Design from Sir J. J. School of Arts, Mumbai (1984), an M.A. in Textile Designing from Banasthali Vidyapith (2013), and a Ph.D. in Design from the same institution (2018).

His professional journey spans over 30 years, starting as a textile designer in various textile mills (1984-1988), followed by roles as an Associate Professor at Banasthali Vidyapith (1988-2019) and visiting faculty at Amity University, Mumbai (2019). He was also a Professor and Director at MGM Institute of Fashion Design (2021-2022).

Dr. Gurjar has conducted workshops for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and various craft development projects, including Khadi, handloom, and natural dyeing techniques. He has also published research papers on textile design innovations.

He has been actively involved in curriculum development and academic governance, serving as a member of various university boards and committees. His research focuses on Khadi design innovations, and he has guided several Ph.D. scholars.

Dr. Gurjar has participated in numerous conferences, seminars, and workshops and contributed to the design education sector through consultancy and mentoring. His achievements include several awards for excellence in textile design.
