Amar M. Gajbhiye is an accomplished professional with a strong background in mechanical engineering and academia. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. at SIT Pune, he has developed expertise in both industrial and academic settings. He completed his M. Tech in Production Engineering from YCCE Nagpur in 2017. Prior to that, he obtained his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from RTMNU Nagpur in 2014.
He started his career in the industry as a Post Graduate Trainee Engineer in Research and Development at Magneti Marelli Motherson Shock Absorber India Pvt. Ltd. in Chakan Pune, where he worked from December 2017 to May 2019. He then transitioned to Suprajit Engineering Pvt. Ltd., also in Chakan Pune, where he worked as a Process and Design Engineer from May 2019 to June 2021. Following his industry experience, he moved into academia and served as an Assistant Professor at JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering from December 2021 to November 2024. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Design at Dr. D Y Patil Vidyapeeth, starting in December 2024.
Throughout his career, he has contributed to several scholarly publications in reputable Scopus and SCI-indexed journals. His notable publications include research on welding parameters for En8D and SAE1018 materials using the Taguchi method, mechanical properties of epoxy-based composites, thermodynamic studies on CI engines using biofuels, and a review on the mechanical properties of particulate-reinforced epoxy composites. These publications highlight his expertise in production engineering, materials science, and thermodynamics.
