About Cut-Ok Short Film Festival

CUT-OK Short Film Festival can be an exciting and enriching event, especially within an academic environment like the School of Design's Department of Animation & Multimedia. It offers students the opportunity to showcase their skills, engage with peers, and explore various facets of animation and storytelling.

Rules & Regulations

1. Please read the rules & regulations carefully before filling the application form. 
2. All Non-English Films needs to have English subtitles.
3. Films originally made in English does not need to have English Subtitles
4. The film can be Live Action, Documentary, Experimental, Narrative, Fiction, Non - fiction or Animation.
5. Total running time must be less than 30 minutes in length, including front and back credits.
6. No minimum running time limitation.
7. The short film can be in any language or any genre. All non- English films must have English sub- titles for festival presentation.
8. Censor Certificate is not mandatory for the film screening.
9. Multiple entries can be submitted
10. Festival organization has right to use the entries / send / selected / nominated films, retain copies of each film as part of our festival library.
11. Films once selected & submitted for final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances until festival is over.

Submission Guidelines

1. For programming consideration, the festival accepts full HD- Uploaded on Google Drive Link by email only and without watermark. The festival will not consider trailers or promos for selection purposes.
2. The Google Drive Link must be properly renamed with the Film Title & Production Name.
3. Film Poster (Image File), to be sent via e-mail as well. (BEFORE 05th April 2025).
4. Share your Google drive link of Uploaded Film to Email: animation.sod@dpu.edu.in
5. Film makers of officially selected films shall be informed by – 20th April 2025

Selection - All submitted films will be watched and rated by an internal selection committee. This committee will select the films that will be screened at the festival. In a second step the selection committee of Jurors will determine Films running in competition.
